Nicolás Delgado is a jazz guitarist and composer based in Berlin
since 2002. Trained at the Taller de Músics in Barcelona, he has
developed a style that blends bebop, contemporary jazz, and
organ jazz. He leads his own quartet — guitar, tenor
saxophone, electric bass, and drums — exploring an expressive
sound where original compositions unfold through flexible
rhythms and open improvisation. His career reflects a
global musical ethic and frequent collaborations with
musicians across Europe.
Delgado's music has taken root in
international clubs and jam
sessions, especially in Berlin’s
vibrant scene. Since 2023, he has
performed regularly at venues such
as B-flat and Gravity Bar, where his
quartet has become a consistent
presence. In June 2025, he
presented his latest project Resurrection
at the Jazzwoche Berlin
festival, confirming his role as a key
contributor to the European jazz circuit.
Over the years, Delgado has crafted a
distinct identity within the jazz landscape,
known for his introspective guitar style and
his refined interplay with saxophone, bass,
and drums — both in electric and acoustic
settings. His music balances structure and
spontaneity with clarity and emotional depth.

Resurrection is the latest album by Nicolás
Delgado, recorded in Berlin and released by Club
del Disco. The album features eight original
compositions performed by his electric quartet: Ori
Jacobson (tenor sax), Francesco Beccaro (electric
bass), and Clemens Grassmann (drums).
Rooted in bebop yet open to contemporary
aesthetics, the music is rich in expressive melodies,
fluid rhythmic language, and bold improvisational
moments. Each track creates its own atmosphere,
moving from introspective textures to dynamic,
high-energy passages.
With this release, Delgado
deepens the sonic path he
has been shaping
throughout his European
career. Resurrection is a
vibrant and personal statement
that reaffirms his identity as a
modern jazz composer and
performer.
