Duncan Dhu is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of its first album, Por tierras escocesas. Inspired by Scottish literature, the fog of San Sebastian, and the music of Jonathan Richman, The Stray Cats, and Elvis, the group formed by Mikel Erentxun, Diego Vasallo, and Juanra Viles began a career that, after those initial acoustic rockabilly beginnings, would lead them to become one of the most important bands in Spanish pop. Over almost 30 years of activity and after nine studio albums, the San Sebastian-based group left behind an eternal legacy of immortal songs that continue to be played constantly in Spain and Latin America. Sales of their catalog in Spain total thirteen Platinum and six Gold albums, and their music has been streamed nearly 900 million times (audio and video) worldwide on digital platforms. To mark this anniversary, a compilation album entitled “40” will be released on June 13, based on the compilation “1” released in 2013. The repertoire has been remastered by Jose María Rosillo and contains all of Duncan's classics: “En algún lugar,” “Cien gaviotas,” “A tientas,” “Jardín de rosas,” “Esos ojos negros,” “Una calle de París,” “A tu lado,” and “Palabras sin nombre.” Softpack CD edition with 22 songs.
