Romero Martín's musical proposal is a mixture of flamenco and electronics. His; definitely; it is contemporary Andalusian music identified with concepts such as emotions; hedonism; show; poetry; authenticity and courage. Heirs of both classical flamenco and the most recent electronic music; His mix revives autochthonous songs, giving them a new meaning thanks to an out-of-the-ordinary speech that they could share with other agitators of the new music scene. The project is led by Álvaro Romero from Cádiz; a tireless hummingbird whose cannibal desire to devour knowledge gives him away: for this native of El Puerto de Santa María; art is promiscuous by nature. Kamikaze aviator in constant free fall. Uncomfortable; adventurous; genre dynamiter; Romero is the Unabomber of flamenco 2.0; a born experimenter called to defy prejudices with the temperance of someone who considers himself a man; woman and voice at the same time. Álvaro works together with the Malaga producer Toni Martín on a recording project that already brought tears to the audience at the last edition of Monkey Weekend. Starting from a resounding electronic base of quasi-industrial heritage and underpinned by lyrics by homosexual poets like the Chilean Pedro Lemebel; Álvaro Romero & Toni Martín offer us a journey of the skull and without brake through the abyss that separates love from hate.
