Two decades ago Los Fulanos were born; a collective of musicians from the Barcelona scene united to claim the most Latino side of black music. The Doe are synonymous with boogaloo. Without more arguments than the love for the genre; Los Fulanos regenerated the Barcelona Latin soul scene by recreating Ray Barretto classics; Joe Bataan or Pete Rodriguez. The sonic gunpowder from their concerts spread throughout the state and led them to contact Vampi Soul, recording a trilogy of highly valued singles for the label. At the same time; They contacted the architect of the renaissance of the rumba culture, Txarly Brown, who urged them to collaborate with figures of the stature of Chacho or Peret in the successive volumes of ´Achilifunk´. Recognition within the music circuit as 'authentic innovators of the genre' led them to record the LP 'King Of Latin Soul' with Joe Bataan. After five years recreating the golden stage of boogaloo; Los Fulanos decided to record ´If This Is Finished, Let The Boogaloo Continue´; an album with their own songs produced by Miguelito Superstar (Tony Manero Foundation) & Manuel Dabove where they explore their Afro-Latin roots including Latin funk numbers; salsa or boleros.
