Los Reyes de Albuquerque (The Kings of Albuquerque) has been among the leading ambassadors of New Mexican and Southern Colorado musical traditions since the group was founded in 1962. For this album, Los Reyes draws from rich regional repertoires and presents 13 tracks of polkas, valses, rancheras, and canciones (lyrical folk songs) that exhibit the characteristic lyrical violin melodies and soothing vocal harmonies of the New Mexican sound.
