Paul Kauriga, born in the United States of Ukrainian parents, directs the Kauriga Ukrainian Ensemble. His career includes composing, teaching, viola playing, and conducting in the Western classical realm. With his sons, he has collected, orchestrated, and performed Ukrainian folk instrumental music.
