Have you ever met a person about whom you could say that he is one in a million? This person is here. Marcus Vergette is a farmer, I mean a real farmer. But he is also a world-famous sculptor who makes bells. In his spare time he is a filmmaker, compose and musican whose meaty bass sound swings in the Mike Westrbrook Orchestra. His Marsyas Suite presented here was inspired by the Titian’s painting “The Flaying of Marsyas”. To record the suite he invited Tom Unwin - piano, Janna Bulmer and Lucy Welsman - cello, Roz Harding - alto saxophone.
