The album now available belongs musically and visually to the same creative phase as
the album with Loren Stillman, but the three felt the need to document and release their work as
a working trio. Since the beginning of their musical friendship, the trio has
musical friendship, and even includes a big band
that performs once a year at the Unterfahrt jazz club.
The band was formed during relaxed, regular sessions after long days of teaching at
the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, where all three teach. There was a lot of free
improvisation, but new compositions for the band also emerged.
Four composed works can be found on the album, each flanked by freely improvised
solo spots by the three performers, which showcase each of them individually from a completely different, special
perspective.
