      Description hide

A lively collection of traditional tunes, ballads, sea shanties, and more from the British Isles presented here by Ian Robb (English concertina player, singer, founding member of the Friends of Fiddler’s Green Canadian folk music group), Seamus McGuire (a Fiddler of Dooney), luthier and musician Grit Laskin (playing long-neck mandolin, guitar, and Northumbrian smallpipes and adding vocal harmony), and Jon Goodman (Irish piper, flautist, and on tin whistle). Through the recording of this album the group Hang the Piper was born.
