Riikka Timonen, a seasoned vocalist with a CV most singers would die
for, steps into the limelight proper with her first solo effort,
"Käenkukuntayöt". Some six years in the making, the record finds
Timonen in full bloom and serves as an example of a well carried out
and natural artistic maturing process.
"Käenkukuntayöt" includes ten compositions of high standards, and the
stylish album art work embodies its contents fittingly."
Veli-Matti Henttonen, Salon Seudun Sanomat
"The history Finnish world music just became one component richer than
it used to be. ´Käenkukuntayöt´ captures the listener in a delicate
way without boasting its own brilliance too much. Full 10 points."
Anna Muurinen, Viisukuppila
