The quartet of Cologne pianist Niklas Roever (* 1998) has been existing since 2016. With "Hell's the Hippest Way to Go" he changed the focus of his musical work: the vocal element within the band concept was strengthened; influenced by the music of colleagues such as John Taylor, Norma Winstone and composers such as Maurice Ravel, pieces were created which always claim to sound out playing styles and concepts of modern jazz, to illuminate them anew and in this way to create additional musical depth variations.
