After the album "The Magic sound of the violin" and "Joan Chamorro New Quartet featuring Scott Hamilton" where we can find both Èlia and Scott, Joan Chamorro thought of a third album in which to unite both sonorities in the manner of the old "battles" of tenor saxophones like Ammons-Stitt, Cohn-Sims, Griffin-Davis and a long etcetera.
Knowing that Scott Hamilton had played and recorded with the great violinist Joe Venuti and that he is in love with the sound of the violin, especially Stuff Smith, and also knowing that he had been very happy with the mentioned encounters with Èlia, he decided to make this proposal to both of them. A meeting in which to capture all of the above.
Finally we have in our hands a result that exceeds all his expectations.
Èlia, a new voice in the violin and jazz scene, alternates her main instrument with the tenor sax and voice, always with the wonderful presence of Scott Hamilton.
The result is an exquisite album where both musicians enter into a surprising dialogue, full of swing, with a carefully chosen repertoire that we are sure will delight you.
