Produced by Alex Moreira, keyboarder of Bossacucanova, who shares the arrangements with another member of the group the bass player Marcio Menescal, this first record of Marissa Groberg gives a contemporary version of the samba: free, light and relaxed.

The rhythm gives the pitch, it has a good beat, and an instrumentation, the electronic effects of which, accentuate the sensual pleasure.

By the side of Marissa Groberg - a young Carioca who has spent the last five years with the group Monobloco where she played the percussion (amongst other activities) - and that of Alex Moreira and of Marcio Menescal, we once again find Gandelman, Flávio Mendes, Jovi Joviniano, Alceu Maia, Carlinhos 7 Cordas and Cris Delannos. In other words a first rate band accompanying a singer with a beautiful voice, an accurate technique and a skilled interpretation. A musical proposition with a swinging rhythm which leads us to rediscover the songs brought back by Marissa in the rich Brazilian repertoire of the 30’s to the 70’s. As such, this song, « Alô Alô » is a little pearl composed in 1933 by André Filho and made famous by Carmen Mirandas

To sum up : here’s a record to dance to, festive and enticing, for «everyone to move to».
