Perico Sambeat about Ofrenda
I've been fan of Danny Grissett, Ugonna Okegwo and E.J. Stricklan for long time, two of them Tom
Harrell's regular musicians; also, I have played with some of them at certain point. The music I wrote was
perfect to be played by them and in fact I made some of the compositions already thinking about their
performers. On the other hand, It's been a lot time and albums since I don`t collaborate with American
musicians and I thought this was the perfect repertoire. I am very satisfied with the result, the group
works in a very compact way and the musicians have empathized 100% with my themes and my music.
Their contribution is enormous.
