      Das Atse Tewodros Project wurde 2010 von Gabriella Ghermandi ins Leben gerufen, um italienische und äthiopische Musiker zusammenzubringen und so gegenseitigen Dialog und künstlerisches Schaffen zu fördern. Gabriella Ghermandi kombiniert in ihrer Musik äthiopische Traditionen mit Einflüssen aus dem Jazz, dabei lässt sie sich von traditioneller Musik inspirieren, die außerhalb Äthiopiens wenig gekannt ist. Die Musik ist eine künstlerische, kulturelle und anthropologische Reise, die durch Klänge, Bilder und Erzählungen eine Reflexion über frühen Feminismus und dessen Figuren erzeugt.
