      Description hide

Zulú 9.30 is a band born in Barcelona streets. After six years driving his music and happiness trough all Europe, they do a new step forward and bring his original third play titled "Tiempo al tiempo". In this case they perhaps leave away from the pure style and they score another and new style. We talk about songs to hear and music to dance.

The band is formed by musicians grown in different places of the planet. A lot of heads and ideas shape an original sound, with roots in different styles such as reggae, Latin-American music, Mediterranean sound, pop-rock and a little influence of the rest of musicians around the world.

On his way, they have had the chance to make dance and laugh a lot of people; from the Couleur Café Festival of Brussels to the Actual Festival in Logroño. From Rock for People in Czech Republic to the BAM in Barcelona. From the Tempo Latino in France to the Amsterdam Roots Festival. A lot of stages and a lot of artist near them such as Oscar de León, Macaco, Amparanoia, Ojos de Brujo, Delinqüentes, Alboroise, La Troba Kung-Fu, Sargento Garcia, Maraca, Los Van Van, etc.

Tiempo al tiempo, their latest album, edited by Kasba Music, contains 11 tracks with a related theme: time. They talk about moments and daily situations where time is, like our live, the main element and the only junction. Closer songs, chorus more and more catchier with letters to be heard and music to dance.

In some tracks like Mira, Loco, Quédate esta noche conmigo and Un dia más the band release all their positive energy reached after the performances in several stages around Europe; from Reggae, Ska-Marching-Balcan, through the more rock sound in some soundtracks. Mi Madalena, Por si no te vuelvo a ver and La Tierra tiene Hambre has a more Latin inspiration, Cumbia; and Sin Prisa or Con una sola cosa show a more intimate sound, but always with the feeling of Reggae, the style with which the band reaches all its sense.

Produced by Osk I Jah from the roots of the letters and initial rates to the latest mix, aided by Toti Arimany, productor of albums of La Troba Kung-Fu and Dusminguet. Mastered by Nick Litwin in Mastering Mansion Madrid. Photography by Luna Coppola. Graphic design by Dgrafik.
