Bruno Blum reflektiert über die Wurzeln und die Geburt des Surf-Rocks und seine Vorläufer, indem er überzeugende Aufnahmen von Sol Ho'opi'i aus Hawaii, Chet Atkins, Duane Eddy und einigen frühen Surf-Rockern wie The Ventures, Dick Dale und The Revels vorstellt und kommentiert. Und natürlich Gesangsgruppen wie die Beach Boys, die anfangs die Welt des Surfens besangen, die ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des amerikanischen Mythos ist.
