Estricnina is the new project of the unstoppable team made up by El Canijo de Jerez (ex Delincuentes) and Juanito Makandé (ex Radio Macandé). After collaborating with each other many times sharing different projects they join together in this supergroup: a radioactive blend of progressive rock, flamenco and funk. Defined by themselves as “Flamenco Indie”: hazardous poison and very dangerous. As they say, Estricnina is “a poison which once applied to the ears causes an increase of excitability followed by synchronized outbreaks of activity which results into contractions of various muscle groups at the same time and stimulation of the cardiac activity. At last a release of serotonin is produced, the hormone of happiness.” For this new adventure Juanito Makandé and El Canijo de Jerez have the collaboration of the Bao brothers: Anye Bao at the drums and the renowned bassist Pepe Bao (Raimundo Amador, O’Funkillo, Baron Rojo, Medina Azahara).
